Looply ("Looply," "the App," "we," "us," or "our") is an iPhone app that helps you record, view, and manage subscription information. We use a local-first design and aim to minimize data collection and transfer.
By using Looply, you acknowledge and agree to this Privacy Policy.
1. Information We Process
Subscription information you provide
To provide subscription-management features, Looply stores on your device the information that you add or confirm, including:
- Subscription names, categories, and icons;
- Amounts, currencies, billing intervals, start dates, renewal dates, and trial dates;
- Reminder settings, notes, and subscription statuses; and
- Information that you confirm after screenshot recognition.
This information is stored locally on your device by default and is used to display subscriptions, calculate estimated spending, show calendar items, and schedule reminders.
Screenshots and images
When you choose screenshot recognition or upload a custom icon, Looply processes only the image you choose.
- Screenshot recognition uses Apple Vision to extract text on your device;
- Recognition results are editable candidates and are never automatically saved as subscriptions;
- After you confirm processing, Looply removes the imported image copy it manages according to the App's workflow;
- Looply does not delete the original image in your Photos library; and
- Looply requests access to a selected photo only when iCloud needs to download its original so recognition can be completed on device.
The current version does not send screenshots, image contents, or OCR text to a cloud AI service.
Purchases and Pro entitlements
Apple App Store processes Looply Pro purchases. We use RevenueCat to help retrieve product information, verify purchase status, and restore Pro entitlements.
RevenueCat may process an anonymous app-user identifier and purchase-entitlement information to determine whether you have Looply Pro. Looply does not receive or store your full payment-card details, bank-account details, or Apple Account password.
Information when you contact support
When you email us voluntarily, we receive the email address, message, attachments, and other information you choose to send. An in-app email draft may prefill the Looply version and iOS version; you can edit or remove this information before sending.
App Store search
When you use App Store search to find an app icon, Looply sends the search term and relevant storefront country information to Apple's App Store search service in order to return publicly available app names, icons, and categories.
2. Information We Do Not Collect
The current version of Looply:
- Does not require an account;
- Does not connect to bank, card, or payment accounts;
- Does not scan Gmail, Outlook, or other mailboxes;
- Does not collect subscription details, billing contents, or screenshot contents for product-behavior analytics;
- Does not use advertising tracking, personalized advertising, or cross-app tracking;
- Does not sell your personal information or subscription data; and
- Does not cancel subscriptions, submit refund requests, or operate third-party accounts on your behalf.
3. How We Use Information
We use information only as needed to:
- Save and display your subscription records;
- Calculate estimated renewals and monthly or annual spending references;
- Schedule local renewal or trial reminders that you choose;
- Complete on-device screenshot recognition, app-icon searches, and purchase restoration when you request them;
- Respond to support requests; and
- Maintain App security, stability, and purchase-entitlement status.
Different currencies are displayed separately. Looply does not automatically convert or combine different currencies into a single total.
4. Notifications
Looply asks for notification permission only when you choose to save a reminder for a subscription. Reminders are scheduled locally by iOS on your device.
By default, notifications do not show a specific subscription name or amount. You may choose to show more detailed reminder content in the App, and you may turn off notification permission at any time in iOS Settings.
5. Third-Party Services
Looply may use the following services to provide specific features:
- Apple for App Store purchases, StoreKit, notifications, photo selection, on-device Apple Vision text recognition, and App Store search;
- RevenueCat to manage and verify Looply Pro purchase entitlements; and
- Your email service provider to deliver a support email you choose to send.
These services process information they need under their own privacy policies. Looply does not send your full payment-card details, bank-account details, mailbox contents, or complete subscription data to these services for analytics or advertising.
6. Storage, Retention, and Deletion
Your subscription records and most App settings are stored locally on your device and remain there while you retain the App's data.
You can view and permanently delete in-app data in Looply's Privacy Center. Deletion removes Looply-managed subscription records, imported materials, related reminders, and certain local preferences. This action cannot be undone.
Deleting Looply data:
- Does not cancel real subscriptions held with the App Store or another provider;
- Does not delete original images in your Photos library;
- Does not delete purchase records retained by Apple App Store under its rules or applicable law; and
- Does not replace account or payment-management actions required by a third-party service.

7. Security
We use reasonable technical and product measures to protect App data, including local-first storage, minimized data transfer, and requesting permissions only when you take a relevant action.
No electronic storage or transmission method is completely secure. Please protect your device, device passcode, and Apple Account.
8. Children's Privacy
Looply is not directed to children below the minimum age of digital consent in their jurisdiction. We do not knowingly collect personal information from children.
9. Your Rights and Choices
Depending on applicable law, you may have rights to request access to, correction of, deletion of, or restriction of processing of personal information relating to you. Because most Looply data is stored only on your device, you can generally edit or delete it directly in the App.
To make a privacy request, email support@burritostudio.net.
10. Changes to This Policy
We may update this Privacy Policy for feature improvements, legal requirements, or changes to our privacy practices. The updated policy will be published on Looply's privacy-policy page with a revised "Last updated" date.
